My folks were really suspicious of anyone that claimed to have occult information or talents, and would keep us away from such common-or-garden activities as playing with Ouija boards or tarot cards. However , the time comes for everybody to make their own way and outline their own values. A chum of mine was having a get along with a couple of her good friends. I felt like this would be the ideal opportunity to pick the brains of somebody involved in the occult arts. Each non secular medium has their own take on the arena of the spirits.
She felt that God had given her a present to see and talk with the spirits. She didn’t know why she had this present, where those spirits came from, or who God was. She simply knew when she was being addressed by a spook and what that spook had to assert. Of course, when folks start working with “the unknown,” there’s a natural disposition to get a bit dramatic.
To her, it was simply a matter of common-or-garden events. She’d have talks with spooks, go to the store and buy groceries, tell somebody’s future, or read her youngsters a bedtime story. One of the most engaging parts of our conversation was when I asked her about astrology. She wasn’t a giant fan of astrological charts, but she probably did use them from time to time.
The thing that got me was, in our conversation about astrology, she calmly discussed my sign, told me some things about my personality related to the sign, and even discussed some details about my private life that she could not have known. To this day, I haven’t any idea where she got all that.
